We’re looking for

RavenPack is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join an international team of developers skilled in technologies like Python, Java, Common Lisp, and SQL. The ideal candidate has experience with AWS and is capable of decoupling services from a monolithic application by using a serverless approach.

To join RavenPack, you will need to have the ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally.

The next RavenPacker will have

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

• Front End development experience (javascript, react preferably) - 2+ years

• Back End development experience (microservices, serverless computing) - 2+ years

• Hands-on experience with AWS services - 1+ years

• Database knowledge (both relational and non-relational databases) - the ability to read and write complex queries

• Working knowledge of Javascript, HTML, CSS, Python

• The ability to work efficiently in both a team and self-directed manner

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS Lambda (Python) or step functions, API Gateway, S3, Athena, SQS, Kinesis, ECS, CloudWatch

• Experience working with CDK/CloudFormation or AWS Amplify

• Ability to configure and build AMIs, manage EC2 instances

• Experience with Jenkins, and Gitlab as CI/CD framework

• Willingness to learn about Lisp development

Your responsibilities as a Full Stack Developer

You will be working together with a team of Developers, QA, and Product Managers in maintaining and improving the application portfolio of the internal tools. This includes the management of RavenPack’s metadata such as 16 million entities and more than 200 000 templates all contributing to the company's core business. RavenPack has built market-leading products on top of this internal data and extracts value from more than 500 000 documents every day.

• Work with a large amount of data and make it usable for editorial professionals.

• Design, develop, deploy, maintain and improve medium/big web applications.

• Continually work to improve processes, implement engineering best practices, and develop automated solutions.

• Work with other Engineers, Managers, Product Management, QA, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions and meet client expectations.
